0800 043 6644There is an amazing array of rooms to choose from when staying in DoubleTree by Hilton Bath hotel all of which contain desk which is perfect for people who have travelled to the city for business and a flat screen TV. If you fancy something more lavish than a standard guest room then there is also the option to book one of the gorgeous suites. With a suite you get a fully furnished living room, desk, 32 inch flat screen TV and full air conditioning.
Away from the comfort of your room, the hotel also has some brilliant dining options as well. The Atelier Restaurant serves some exquisite French Bistro style food which gifts guests a stunning view of the Pulteney Bridge and River Avon. The lobby bar also provides the perfect setting for pre or post dinner drinks as well a nice place to grab light lunch.
Just 11 minutes away from the hotel is Bath Golf Club which is a 6,442-yard, par-71 course that is unashamedly ‘old school'. One of England's oldest inland courses, having been established in 1880, Bath is full of variety and is laid out over springy downland turf that's a delight to play from. The Mendips to the southwest can be enjoyed from the 8th fairway, and at the farthest corner of the course stands the 11th tee. The Westbury White Horse is visible, as is the escarpment of Salisbury Plain. Alongside it to the right is a precipitous drop, glimpsed through the hanging wood to the valley floor below, leading to a complex of bat caves.
A little further afield is the gorgeous Chipping Sodbury Golf Club. The Chipping Sodbury Golf Club formed in 1905 but it wasn’t until 1971 that it became a parkland 18 holer thanks to the design of Fred Hawtree. The Beaufort Course is 6994 yards long and offers challenges to all with water hazards featuring on many holes and greens. In May 2005, the Wissun Course was created, adjoining the main. This is a free 6 hole par 3 course with a practise chipping green and driving range (use of own golf balls required).
