0800 043 6644The club is home to 27 superbly conditioned holes that are the equal of anything in the Bristol locale, with the most recently added nine holes being formulated by the great Peter McEvoy. The Hollows, The Ruffet and The Badminton are the three loops at the Kendleshire, which has hosted numerous PGA Europro Tour events since its inception. Water affects no less than 18 of the club's holes, helping to add great drama, suspense and challenge.
The Kendleshire was named one of Britain's ten best new courses in 1999, and since then has matured nicely into one of the finest in the south of England, making it an essential part of a good Bristol golf tour.
Many new courses have created a homage to Sawgrass' famous 17th hole - the island green at the Kendleshire's 11th may be one of the best efforts.
The course is always in good condition but rain spoilt the round, the fact it is 3 nine holes and if you don't get holes 1-18 it becomes disjointed.
The same as The Bristol. Again we had a lot of rain, so much so that on the The Badminton loop, buggies were not allowed. We would love to play it with better weather conditions
Great course and considering the recent rain the course held up very well. Would of like to of played the original 18 hole course. The Badminton course was a bit of a walk from the clubhouse.
A long walk between the 2 loops of 9 holes. I would imagine its about a 15 minute walk between the 2.
Very enjoyable, not too challenging so good for higher handicaps.
Great course and clubhouse accommodating for food and the rugby match before hand, plenty of buggies Lacked distance markers on the 19-27 holes
Excellent course which was very well maintained. Facilities excellent with food very good. Walk to holes 19-27 which may detract from the course. Other two nines start and end near the clubhouse
Beautiful course with fast greens and new challenge at every t
Everything about the Kendleshire was first class the whole course was in great condition with the facilities very good and staff very helpful. Looking forward to our next visit.
B E A utiful, thoroughly enjoyed the entire day, great course, great layout, superb clubhouse. Will return 😘
Really helpful staff with a very helpful meet and greet found the course a little muddy after the rain
It's a 10 minute (confusing) walk to the first tee on the Badminton course. The course was surprisingly wet despite the good weather and I would imagine would be virtually unplayable in winter conditions. A slowish round behind holiday golfers. Worth taking a trolley. Good greens.
Most of our group really enjoyed this course. Not one we had heard of before so it was a nice surprise. It was quite windy when we played and the back nine especially was quite tough with some long up hill par 4s. Plenty of water about so take plenty of golf balls with you. Excellent course highly recommended and will probably make a return visit soon.
Arrived to find that they had not got us on their system. However they did manage to rearrange some bookings and adjust the starting by playing us on the 19 to 27 hole Badminton course first. Greens were in excellent conditions very quick. Again spoilt by wet and heavy rain but all 18 holes completed.
Lovely setting, the course played hard with the greens very slick. Lovely patio area in front of 18th green. Great venue
It’s a shame the walk to & from holes 19-27 (The Badminton) was so long. Course was in great condition, greens quick with a lot of slopes.
A very enjoyable course
There is only one thing to say about the club it was brilliant from arrival to the time we left, everything was five star can't wait to play it again.
The Kendleshire is a very interesting course consisting of three nine hole courses, the badminton, the hollows & the russet. We were made to play the badminton & the hollows courses that means a very long walk between courses resulting in delay’s on some tees If you’re going to play this course I would suggest playing the badminton followed by the russet
Course was in good condition, only downside was the back nine which was slow.
Fairways needed cutting grass overall excessively long A warning should be mentioned going from 17th Green to 18th tee Extremely hard to climb very steep hill ( needed oxygen & defibrillator to reach top) Very grateful for the bench Buggy recommended
3 loops of 9. Front 9 Badminton long walk from club house. Arrived at 10th.(Hollows 1st.) 12 golfers waiting to tee off. Played front 9 in 1 hour 50 mins. Then 40 minutes wait on the 10th. and very slow back nine. Could be better organised. Overall beautiful course and views.
A really nice place to play - great for all levels!
An absolute quality set up. Great practice facilities and some of the best greens I have played on. Great contours, very quick, especially when the wind blows, but very true and receptive so a good shot lands and stops. 3 sets of 9 holes and not one of them disappointing (of the 18 we played). A really good mix of great looking par 3's and challenging drives on par 4's and looking forward to playing the middle 9 on my return. Definitely recommend.
Very fast and tricky greens, but they were in superb condition.
Three nines at this place, a really good set up in terms of facilities and the condition of the courses. The greens were super fast and had some big slopes on some holes, so it made it very tricky. The only thing was the length of the walk and lack of signage to find the first nine we played, it took a good 10-15 mins from the clubhouse to get to the tee. Then after nine, we had the same walk to get to the ‘10th’, so you get plenty of steps in!
Wow - the badminton course does not fit in with this place. It’s literally like a field which they purchased to gain some more revenue, with little regard for its impact on the overall experience. It does have some good par 3s but that’s about it. It was wet as a bog, boring and poorly kept. It also took a genuine 20minute walk from the club house to get too and then we had another 20min walk back to start our back 9 on the hollows course. You also walk in and around parts of the Ruffet course en route to/from the Badminton course, which must be really annoying if you’re playing the Ruffet, let alone it’s dangerous. The Hollows course was a lot better though and the 9th was a good hole to finish on. If you can play the Hollows/Ruffet courses together you’ll likely enjoy your round - and that should be the only 18 on offer. The Badminton should be a 9 holer only, used as a beginners course.
Good course rather a lot of water, greens very good ,only course with any catering which was brilliant.
A fantastic quality course with some really great holes including a Sawgrass like par3 with an island green.Very well organised for the hospitality prices as you would expect.
Unfortunately the Club Championships were held on the same day we played, so we were only able to play one of the 9holes (twice). However was a lovely course, great facilities and would like to go back and play the whole course!
Very enjoyable experience
Lovly golf course in great condition. Very friendly staff and good value.
Stunning course and great club house, will definitely visit again
Lovely course. We played it in 50mph winds with rain, some hail and sun all mixed in. All this made the course tough. Would recommend the course. Good practice facilities too
Greens were fantastic. Tee boxes were a little inconsistent. Overall a good course. Same can’t be said for the bar staff!! The bar took our money for food then after waiting 40mins it to arrive we were informed they had run out. After a lot of persuasion we received our money back but not without Dan ( person working behind the bar) speaking very inappropriately to a member of our group without reason. When confronted about this by myself he was again very rude, telling me continuously to “go away, go away”. All I wanted was was a explanation as to why he swore and was being very rude to us. He was obviously finding the situation of running out of food very stressful and was unable to manage. I wouldn’t say it ruined our weekend but wasn’t a nice feeling to be going back up the motorway home with. I don’t any of our group will be returning to the kendleshire any time soon.
