0800 043 6644The course at Meldrum House Golf Club is a beautiful parkland layout, that hugs around the 800-year old hotel and beyond and measures just over 7,000 yards from the back tees. Designed by Graeme Webster, water comes into play at ten of the holes with the 11th hole, which is a Par 5, having 18 bunkers guarding the green. There is also a choice of 5 tee positions at each hole to ensure every kind of player enjoys the course.
The practice facilities are also world-class and extend to 24 acres with a dozen target greens, short game area, latest video analysis and a driving range. The course has been ranked in the Top 100 Scottish courses by Golf World. The facilities also include a Clubhouse and Pro Shop plus expert tuition from Head Pro, Neil Marr who is ranked as one of Golf Monthly’s top 25 golf professionals.

For dining there are 3 options.
1236 in the award-winning Cave Bar is open daily, serving Brunch, Lunch and Dinner, it is informal and social plate dining, inspired by ingredients that are local to the hotel.
Guests can dine in the Pineapple Grill & Seafood between Wednesday to Saturday, 6pm to 9pm. Offering a relaxed and informal dining experience with the focus on fish and beef using some of the best local and trusted suppliers in Aberdeenshire.
Another option is the private dining domes which have been named after the stars and moon and have stunning views across the estate and golf course. Carefully thought out, the atmospheric domes have wooden flooring and tailor-made furniture decked out with beautiful lantern lamps. A Bluetooth music system is installed in each, allowing guests to wire in their own surround sound music choice.
Each dome has a ‘Jet Focus Control’ to warm or cool the domes dependent on the Scottish season. Diners access the domes from a private door, following a lit stone path onto the lawns. CASTOR holds up to 6 people, LUNA holds up to 8 people, AURORA holds up to 12 people, SIRIUS up to 12 people.
For drinks there is the 800-year old Cave Bar and a current holder of Whisky Magazine’s Global Icon Hotel Bar of the Year award. Here you will find over 120 whiskies, our Whisky Club room, cocktails, beer on draft, and an extensive spirits and wine list.
The Titan Sky Bar dome, measuring 10 metres in diameter, has the capacity for up to 40 people at stylish cocktail tables or up to 32 guests as an event space in a horseshoe shape table. The Titan Sky Bar operates as bar from Friday to Sunday and as private dining from Monday to Thursday.
Nice country house hotel ion a wonderful location. A little old fashioned in terms of rooms and facilities, but staff very friendly. Main reason not to give 5 stars - there are constant weddings at the venue and although the events are in separate buildings.....the noise can be intrusive. Room 8 was noisy until 1am two nights as it is above the reception. Room 1 was fine.

A real pleasant surprise. A members club attached to the hotel with a very attractive layout and amazingly friendly staff. Course was a bit like a mini version of Gleneagles PGA layout, but with more water in play. Clever design made the most of the terrain. Only the greens - recently hollow-tined - were below par. Would recommend.
