The golf club at Omaha Beach was founded in 1986 by Guy Dupont, and has two 18 holes courses, designed by the revered golf architect, Yves Bureau.
The courses are located just a few miles from the beaches of the World War 2 D-Day landings and as such boast some of the best views of the English Channel you are likely to find in the whole of Northern France.
Set high up on the cliffs overlooking the village of Port en Bessin is the La Mer course whilst the Le Manoir offers views of the rolling hills of the French countryside.

0800 043 6644La Mer is the most prestigious of Omaha's three courses, and benefits from a spectacular location on the cliff-top overlooking the harbour at Port-en-Bessin. Holes 2 and 6 are the most memorable, with outstanding views of the artificial wartime Allied harbour and the English Channel. Measuring 3,099 yards, La Mer will be a certain highlight of your visit to Omaha Beach.
Le Manoir is a Par 71 with its many ponds ,still in the typical Normandy environment with its hedgerows ,its decorative beds and fruit trees, showing a multitude of beautiful flowers in spring .
Enjoyed the round but should have taken a buggy as first nine lots of walking between green and tee and some hefty hills Second nine more flat
We played the 'La Mer' course and the first 9 holes were superb with some very interesting/challenging holes and stunning cliff-top views from several of the holes. The back 9 were less dramatic but still perfectly OK.
We played the two courses. Although the Mer cousre seems to be favoured , we all preferred the Manoir course. Re the Mer course , we would suggest doing the back nine first as the front nine comprises several mickey mouse blind holes that are best attacked when one is into the game.
Really enjoyed course would play again
