Finca Cortesin

Finca Cortesin has already hosted the European Tour’s Volvo World Matchplay three times and in 2023 will host the 18th edition of the Solheim Cup. At over 7,000 yards from the championship tees it is truly a modern day monster.

Gleneagles - PGA Centenary Course

The PGA Centenary Course at Gleneagles was the host venue of a dramatic European victory in 2019. The winning putt on the 18th by Suzann Pettersen was the key moment in the match, holing from just under 10 feet to claim the win.

Designed by Jack Nicklaus, The PGA Centenery is one of the longest and toughest in professional golf. Meandering through mature Perthshire countryside, this course has been a regular stop on The European Tour as well as hosting The Senior Open and 2014 Ryder Cup, the scene of another European victory.

St. Pierre Country Club - Old Course

The 1996 Solheim Cup headed to South Wales to be played at the incredibly popular Old Course at St Pierre Golf Club.

Having lost the opening morning foursomes 3.5 / 1.5, Europe were looking like they were up against it but a fantastic display of golf saw Europe leading 9-7 going into the final days singles.

A devastating display of golf followed with Team USA winning the final days singles 10-2, resulting in a 17-11 win, one of the largest in recent years.

The Championship Old Course at St Pierre has held a host of professional tournaments and offers stunning views across Chepstow and beyond. The 18th is a the signature hole with a 235-yard par-3 over a lake, quite the finish for anyone looking to finish the round in style.

Killeen Castle

The 2011 edition of The Solheim Cup was the host of a 4th European victory with Europe winning 15-13 in a hotly contested match.

The Jack Nicklaus designed course near Dublin saw vital wins by Catriona Matthew, Suzann Pettersen and Azahara Munoz in the final day's singles with Munoz's victory by just 1 hole showing just how close the match was.

Killeen Castle is a great golf break destination with lodge accommodation that's perfect for groups. The course is very playable for a range of handicaps with plenty of room off the tee and great local cuisine to enjoy in the restaurant. Playing up to the Castle on the 18th makes for a memorable end to a great round of golf.

St. Leon-Rot Golf Course

2015 saw The Solheim Cup head to Germany for what was one of the closest matches in history. Team USA won 14.5 to 13.5 with a dramatic final day ensuring their victory. Winning 7 out of the final 8 singles matches saw Juli Inkster's team take the trophy.

Golf Club St. Leon-Rot is one of the best championship golf courses in Germany. Having previously held The Deutsche Bank SAP Open 4 times, 3 of which were won by Tiger Woods.

Halmstad Golf Club - North Course

The 2007 Solheim Cup was played at the picturesque Halmstad Golf Club in Sweden. Europe took on Team USA with Helen Alfredsson and Betsy King leading their respective teams into battle.

Team USA walked away with the victory courtesy of taking the final days singles 8.5 to 3.5, winning overall 16-12 for a comfortable winning margin.

Barseback Golf & Country Club

The 2003 Solheim Cup took place at the incredible Baseback Golf Club in Malmo, Sweden. This picturesque layout, which meanders through dramatic pine forests, made for the perfect setting for a 17.5 - 10.5 victory for the European Team.

The 8-4 winning margin on Sunday was a great day for The European Team. Home players Suzann Pettersen and Annika Sorenstam were top point scorers overall with 4 points, quite the haul against a hugely talented US team.

Barseback is a very pretty layout and quite the hotbed of talent with Louise Stahle, Caroline Hedwall and Henrik Stenson all representing the club.
